 Pitch Pine
"It is one of the most important wooden trees of USA, with a distribution from the littoral plain of South Carolina to the central zone of Florida and Louisiana. It growths quickly, forming annual shoots of 1,5m in favorable conditions and reaches a height of 30m. The wood is strong, red-orange, resinated and is used in construction and carpentry. The needles of 20-30cm long, form bunches in a variable number from two to five. The young buds are light green and the cones 9-13cm long, have a short peduncle."
