 Taeda Pine
It is another tree from the south east of USA that covers large extensions. It is the main pine of North America with a height up to 39 m and with a very useful tendency to prune itself, so that the trunk is clear and long. It produces beautiful soft wood, beige-cream, quite resinous, with uses similar to the pinus rigida, but less quantity. The needles are quite rigid, slightly twisted, of 14-23 cm long, in bunches of three; while the cones, a little smaller, of 8-13 cm long, are almost sessile, with scales of reflex thorns. It does not grow well in northern Europe.
